To Come: Harlem Hospital Mural Featuring Louis Pasteur

Charles Alston's “Modern Medicine” Mural at Harlem Hospital

During New York City’s Harlem Renaissance, fostered by the Works Progress Administration, muralist Charles Alston created the work “Modern Medicine,” which is directly opposite another of his murals, “Magic in Medicine.” The works are located in the entrance hall of the Women's Pavilion at Harlem Hospital.
