Maxwell Starr's “The History of Mankind in Terms of Mental and Physical Power” Mural at Brooklyn TechLocated in New York at 29 Fort Greene Place, Brooklyn Technical High School’s magnificent Works Progress Administration murals by painter Maxwell Starr is titled “The History of Mankind in Terms of Mental and Physical Power.” Because the school's then-principal, Albert L. Colston, determined that the series must encompass the history of science, Pasteur is depicted among other science heroes, such as Morse, Edison, Bell and Marconi. Starr's thoughts about the series’ theme are included below the mural:
